Meet Howard Rowe on Trumpet, Flugelhorn & Baritone!

Since retiring from a 32 year teaching career, Howard is busy writing for music publishers, and performing with a variety of groups including a brass quintet, a big band, the East Rochester All-stars, and, of course, the Krazy Firemen.

While teaching, Howard received the Henrietta Jaycee’s Outstanding Young Educator Award and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Outstanding Music Educator Award.

As a composer / arranger Mr. Rowe has numerous works published by Alfred, C.L. Barnhouse, Kendor, Warner Bros. and others. He is busy fulfilling various commissions and has received the ASCAP Standards Award.

As a trumpeter, Howard has had extensive experience including performances with Mel Torme, Ice Capades, Ringling Bros. Circus, The Monroe County Parks Band, Bob Hope, the Smothers Brothers and shows like MAME and 42nd STREET.

Howard and his wife Donna have two children and live in Fairport, NY.
